For this publication class with Jayme Yen, we were given creative freedom to create a publication on any subject, so I chose to delve further into my interests in fashion and textile design. I picked the works of eight designers whose originality and creativity is mainly expressed through their textiles. I chose to accentuate the individuality of each designer by assigning a different typeface to each, creating an overall harmoniously eclectic publication, where the reader can discover more about the designers’ processes and work. I wanted the cover to be made of a found textile of my choosing, allowing the reader to feel part of this art form and making it feel precious in hand.
