BEAR is a concoction of essays, articles, spoken word, images, and survey answers by and for people of color on POC identity. Identity is complex, complicated, and at times confusing—it is a collection of life experiences and thoughts. The three issues are separated by content: underrepresentation in the media, ethnic pride, and double consciousness. Volume 1 consists of 210 french folded pages, and is hand bound. I created survey questions on POC identity and received around 150 answers—which 80 were showcased for the first volume.
