This study of formal abstraction is based upon the manipulation of a singular object—Scotch clear packaging tape. I had manipulated the tape by the methods of burning, cutting, chewing, shredding, freezing, etc. Without the use of a macro lens or loop, each photograph was captured by fastening (with Scotch heavy duty packaging tape of course) the opposite end of a 50mm lens to a 35mm lens mounted on a Sony a6000. The study lasted over the course of three weeks—it was fun, challenging, mesmorizing, and gross at times. You can find more photos at tapelicious.tumblr.com.
